What to expect with Lift Maintenance

As Ireland’s leading supplier of lifts and with a wealth of experience in the industry, we can’t stress enough the importance of regularly maintaining your lift. A lift is a significant investment, and installing it is only the first step. Regular lift maintenance and servicing are not only necessary to ensure that the lift performs well for passengers, but it also gives you peace of mind that it is operating at peak efficiency and safety.

There are many different types of lifts, and each has many different parts and so the extent of the maintenance will vary from lift to lift. Once you become a lift owner, your lift provider, such as ourselves, will advise you on the necessary maintenance profile. It will depend on several factors, including:

  • The quality of original equipment
  • Age
  • Level of use
  • Type of use

During lift servicing, the engineer will inspect the lift’s safety features as well as clean, lubricate, and adjust all components for optimal performance. The engineer will also keep track of any work done and make recommendations for any repairs or improvements that cannot be completed during this visit. The client should constantly sign and check with the engineer’s report on each visit.

Many lift companies will provide different packages when it comes to maintenance so choosing the right maintenance plan is critical, as each one will have its own set of inclusions and exclusions. The correct maintenance package can:
